I am curious about these buttons as they seem to be army general service buttons, but instead of stars over the eagles head it looks to be a crown (not sure). I was wondering what type or country it would come from.
US shield is missing from the center as well - but it's otherwise so close to the US Army button design that I wonder if they were foreign made for overseas US military personnel.
That would be interesting to find out and thanks for responding.
Non of these Buttons are military issue or were worn on American uniforms. They are copies of American general service Buttons which display the Great Seal. Missing on your Buttons is the "Glory"(stars above the Eagle's head), shield and motto inside the ribbon. Also, military Buttons almost always have a back-mark or makers mark and these do not. These were probably made for the fashion industry to embellish and military style garment.
