It pays to buy the books and spend the time to study. I found these in an upscale vintage modern store and they had no clue what they were. :0)

I love it when we buy a great piece unbeknownst to the dealer. Thats why i educate myself daily on the net, books and field trips to Goodwill stores, thrifts and dusty crammed vintage antique as well as high end antique stores.
Yeah it feels really good to hustle a dealer, that's the best feeling. I spend hours just scrolling through 1stDibs and high-end auction catalogs online.
