Hello - I don't know where to begin on this, but thought this might be a Native American Redware pot with lid... although some have suggested Mayan - South American... Peruvian - Pre Columbian, etc. I just don't know who made this pot. Any information or suggestions would be greatly appreciated in figuring out where this came from. It looks like it's made out of clay - food dish perhaps, due to the lid. . . ceremonial bowl? Maybe it's a fake - who knows. . . but it looks real enough for me to inquire and post here. I've had it for almost 2 years, and I still havent' figured out it's origins. . .

Many Thanks in advance for any help!!
    Kelly

By the look of it, it is not pre-Colombian. You may wish to go to this gallery for comparisons. https://galeriacontici.net/
