Dont know much about this clock. It has a waterbury label on the back. It is a complete clock with key, and it works. We do know that Great-Grandma passed it down. We believe she brought it to the USA from Norway about 1880. Not sure. Anyone know anything about this clock or it's value please let us know.
Looks like a kitchen clock. The Waterbury Clock Company was located in Waterbury Conn.
Very nice kitchen clock. I sold 2 of these for 175 ea. But I had a starting price of 225... Good Luck!
It's beautiful and it DOES look like what they call a "kitchen" clock. I got one too thru my Grandmother, it has a very faded label from the New Haven Clock Company. I am now the 5th generation to own it and I love it. Had mine overhauled at the Frankenmuth Clock Co. In F rankenmuth Michigan, old German clock people who really know their stuff. It cost me $200 to have it done but worth every penny.
Had one like this growing up, we called it a gingerbread clock.
If you're still out there, this is called Waterbury's "Corning" model circa 1890.
Here are a couple of photos of other examples:
