A lot of "flotsam & Jetsam" this week. Seems like there were more sales this week but that could be because I went to a "neighborhood" sale with about 25 sales in close proximity.

    Unsolved Mystery

      I'm gonna smack you.
If I come back for a visit, can we go picking together?

Anytime stef, I'll bring the coffee and you bring the cookies. It would probably help keep me focused.

Nice! Is that a wooden boomerang? and what is the object on the left side, laying atop the animal sewing cards? and is that a lead crystal candle holder or ashtray by that mimeograph machine-looking thingy?

Yes vintagemad, it ought to be a good weekend up there being the Memorial Day weekend. Wish I had time to go sailing up there, post some pictures if you get a chance.

      mrmajestic1,
Yes, the boomerang looks old and aboriginal.

I have no clue what that iron thing is, was hoping someone here might know.

Yes there 2 Orrefors candle holders in the black boxes next to it.

Been thinking about that object on the left side of the first pic. that I commented on and now think it to be a one dog-iron for holding fireplace logs, along with andirons, or a large pinch dog; used in woodworking to hold pieces of wood together. As large as it is maybe a dog used in the lumber industry?

      Thanks trunkman.

      miKKoChristmas11,
The sale with the chickens had a large assortment of items from the teens and quite a bit of doll house furniture. I didn't get to that sale till later in the morning. Always makes me wonder what I must have missed by not being there early.
I wish there were more to go on to identify that clock. The only mark on it is 'Germany' in small type on the face. Maybe if I take it apart.
The pens are actually all mechanical pencils. There was a box full of them and a box of advertising "bullet" pencils. I probably should have picked out more but didn't.

      scandinavian_pieces,
The little boy is actually a Valintine, when he takes his hat off his other hand pivots out from behind his back with a Valentine in it.

      mrmajestic1,
I don't know what a pinch dog is but it sounds like a good direction to research. I think it may be blacksmith made. Thanks for the good ideas.

OK Kevin, you spurred me to action. I just posted the clock as 'Old vintage Clock'.

First thing I have posted in a while.
