Hello! My father just gave me a pocket watch and seems to be very old and I would like to know more about it(year of manufacture, location, price). It is a IWC International Watch Co. Schaffhausen and inside it has the code 871969 and another number 0.900 this is pretty much everything I know. Can anyone help me?

      Hi,
What you have is a caliber "65" (43mm) or a caliber "73" (38mm.) They are almost identicle with the exception of the movement size. The year is c.1928 (871969). The mark 0.900 is the silver content of the case. It needs a bow and new crystal etc. I especially like the outer case. The whole package, serviced and ready to go could bring $195-$250. I hope this helps. Jim (This Old Watch)

      Hi again,
The number you gave me (871969) is the case number, I need the number off the movement to give you the correct year of manufacture.

The number of the movement is 840573. I forgot to mention that it works perfectly.
Thank you for your time & information.
