I HAVE HAD THIS LAMP SHADE FOR A LONG TIME. I WONDER IF IT IS AN AUTHENTIC TIFFANY. IT CAME FROM THE HOME OF SOME VERY WEALTHY FOLKS. IT IS NOT IN GREAT SHAPE. THE METAL ON TOP IS DENTED. SOME OF THE GLASS IS CRACKED AND SOME IS DETERIORATING. IS THERE A WAY TO FIND OUT? AND IF IT IS A TIFFANY WHAT MIGHT ITS VALUE BE? THANKS.
Looks similar to the one I have that isn't Tiffany. Usually Tiffany lamps are signed on the base in very small writing.
I'm sorry, it appears to be a current repro. The quality does not seem accurate. Sorry
I know this is a older post but I have a lamp shade like this...its in great condition....I posted it on this site a few months ago...and like yours, mine looks to have some age on it.... I have been trying to find out if mine is a real Tiffany lamp shade....I saw a video on antiques Road show and Tiffany lamp shades aren't always signed....and peoples opinions can be wrong..... but if not authentic...its certainly a great reproduction....I have been to estate sales where they were selling reproductions....and they don't even compare to mine...I will continue to enjoy it anyway
I have a dragonfly lamp it is signed on the base Bradley-Hubbard
Signature or lack isn't driving the identification of "not a real Tiffany product".
This simply doesn't have the quality of construction and glass expected of Tiffany. It is a stark difference.
