This liberty coin is a quarter dollar but we cannot figure out the date to this coin. My dad had another one of these coins but it was even more worn than this one so we couldn't even find where the date would have been located. I still think this is a cool coin though!
i have the same one and the date is not worn how much do you think its worth
I have no idea how much this is worth.
You should check the US Coins pages here on collectors weekly. It will give you the ebay listings for this stuff too.
Good Luck!!
I have one too, it is a little worn, but I can read the date. 1927
one of my students have found the same coin and we are trying to find out when it was made. Has anyone figured it out.
found it...1929 standing libery
I know how much this is worth...it can be valued from $2,000-$10,000
on condition. so i think in this condition, this coin could be valued about $2,000.
This is a Standing Libery minted from 1916 thru 1930. The date would have been below the foot. The only other way to date this is the 1916 & 1917 mintages had exposed right breast (That would have worn away before the date).
Originally it was 6.2500g 0.9000 Silver 0.1809 oz.
So basically it is worth silver price, minus wear. approx 0.10 oz silver @ around $23.00/oz on 10.01.10
Inits current condition it worth about $6.00 to $8.00 bucks. They were made between 1916 & 1930.
i have one too...maybe I better get it out and take another look! :)
Kristin:TheStanding Liberty design began production in December of 1916,modified in 1917.Through 1924,the coin's date was raised on Miss Liberty's pedestal, making it subject to quick wear in circulation. From 1925 to 1930,the date was sunk into a depression on the pedestal, making it much less susceptible to erosion.Your coin has the three stars below the Eagle. The silver market is strong and expected to continue to climb. One of the best ways to track the price of your coin is on eBay.Have fun searching your coin out.
