I believe it's Brass, (heavy) Face says Marcus & Co. 8 da. swiss. The clock works I don't think it had glass. It is 4" x 4" I love the face.

Hi, the case on this looks like a clock my grandmother had - American, from the early Art Deco period. For many years, I wondered if the case were 'incomplete', but the reverse of your clock looks exactly like my grandmother's, so I supposed that the case on mine is not incomplete.

Hi, AR8Jason. Great info. May I ask, my clock is unmarked, but the back looks exactly like that pictured above. Do you think one could be by Marcus, too? Many thanks!

Nice research Kevin! Allow me to chime in a little (yes pun intended), I found another Marcus & Co. Swiss Clock which sold at auction for $40 in Florida 1/2011. It's not really possible to tell from the photo but the glare suggests a crystal over the dial. Reportedly, it was circa 1930. It has a rectangular case, but it looks very similar to your clock Misty. http://p2.la-img.com/769/23579/8384322_1_l.jpg
