United States Patent Office, MICHAEL KELLY, OF NEW YORK, NY, ASSIGNOR, ... IMPROVEMENT IN BARBED FENCE-WIRES.
A fantastic new find !! The Kelly tack ribbon is about the only one that is close, but that patent used regular round nails. The flat nails are unique. How long is the specimen, how far apart are the nails, and how long are they? Nice going Gotwire !
Howdy Railman, the wire is 18.25" long. The barbs are 1.25" long and about 4.5" apart. The ribbon is 3/8" wide.
