      Know nothing about this but I remember seeing some of the 'old timers' with these as a kid in the '50's.

      You need to put some kind of scale or ruler next to this to show size. It could be anywhere from 1" long to 1 foot long. Also, pictures from different angles will help also. TG

      We call them a live bait bucket. Put your live bait (shrimp, pin fish etc.) in it, close it and drop it in the water to keep the bait alive.

      yes thank you fhrjr2, that was the phrase I was looking for. You often see the yellow & white plastic ones nowadays...

      Right Hunter, we have several of the newer plastic ones. These old ones rusted out and were thrown away mostly. I believe this one was supposed to not get caught up in the weeds because of the shape.

      Keep in mind these were made in different sizes and the one on the link is one of the large ones.
