I want to identify the age and manufacurer of this envelope-style purse. It has a label inside that says made in Mexico. The logo, however is the Eiffel Tower. The first word of the manufacturers name is unreadable. After the first word, it says Artisticas, S.A. The clasp is the most unique feature: when the flap is open, the 2 oval discs of the clasp are horizontal. To close, you press down, just underneath the discs, and the discs slowly rotate 45 degrees to a vertical position, which latches the flap - this action is mechanical, and appears magical when you see it happen. Does this type of closure have a name? I believe this to be a vintage purse, perhaps from the 1960's? Any info would be greatly appreciated!
I believe the one word is key Artísticas, S.A. De C.V. in Ciudad de Mexico is a real local business or establishment located at Sur 71, 09480 Mexico City, Distrito Federal, Mexico. I think it was a purse made or exported from their company . It is a Business district in mexico. Most likely a copy of France's High quality Eiffel Tower Handbangs , Very nice at any rate . Anyone else jump in this is just my 2 cents worth :-)
