I bought this at eBay, the guy told me that this was a Dealer Pontiac gift in the early 1950's when a new Pontiac was sold...???

Well........he lied. Made by Remple Mfg. Co. Akron, Ohio in 1948. Designed by Fred G Reinert Patent # 2469892. He is "Chief Wahoo" mascot for the Cleveland Indians baseball team. It originally had a red feather in his head mounted vertical.
