This is an estate find. I have searched the Internet and have never found another like it! The blue slag is just beautiful! I removed each panel by sliding them out the top for a light cleaning and they are perfect. The lamp is very heavy. It has a toggle swith for on/off and a screw socket for one light bulb. I did very little to clean the ornate metal as it was actually quite clean and in excellent shape! I love blue and this is my favorite!
Very nice find. I have a table lamp with the same blue panels and rarely see this deep shade of blue. Mine is a 6 panel with 3 darker blue and 3 lighter due to more white mixed in. Yours looks similar but yours is more ornate and the metal looks like bronze while mine is brass...although I'm not sure but mine is more gold and the patina is a darker gray with a few white deposits and needs a good cleaning. There were 4 different lamps where I got it but the blue one I just had to have and love it with the light off or on as well.
I also have become the owner of a similar brass hanging light, I'm looking for any information on its origin maker ect..
Do you know the age or origin of these lamps?
