This "china" cabinet is another one of our family favorites. It is very rustic with wooden knobs and a piece of wood that turns across the two doors (on top and on bottom) to keep the doors closed (sorry I didn't take a close up picture of that). It reminds me of something in the colonial era that someone made by hand. The cabinet measures approximately 63 1/2" tall by 34" length. The top half is 11" deep and the bottom section is 17" deep. I think it may be made from oak, but I'm not certain. I did not look on the back of this piece to see if there was any markings or writing. I don't think there is, as I'm thinking this is more of a one-of-a-kind cabinet.
If anyone knows some history regarding this type of furniture, I would love to know it. (You may also notice the antique lamps on top of the cabinet. One was my used by my grandmother who passed away 20 years ago at the age of 97!)
Beautiful!!
