This is another fine example of a "private label" pocket watch made by the Robert H. Ingersoll, Brothers Watch Company c.1898. It has patent dates of 1890 and 1897. They made this watch for the John Wanamaker Department Store in Philadelphia. It is a stem wind/pin set model with an "engraved movement". They were called dollar watches and often sold for that amount. The dials were made in-house by Ingersoll. Some collectors just limit their collections to these "dollar watches".
Enjoy and thanks for looking,
Jim
Thanks Jim for showing your private label Ingersoll. I have a Ingersoll Triumph, pin set, black dial, engraved model. Love dollar watches. I'll show more.
Thanks again,
Dave
