I was wondering CAN ANYONE HELP tell me WHAT THIS IS?
My grandmother had this ugly cat forever, and she had said that it was a tree hanging cat, but I thought that it was TOO HEAVY for a tree.. so I assumed it was a door stop.. Its heavy, and looks like there is bronze underneath.. I was just hoping that someone can direct me in the right way to find out what this is and how much it is worth if anything...

I'd guess a door stop too. Sorry, no info about it.

Looks like a cold-painted (sometimes called Vienna or Austrian) bronze. I can't tell from the photos, but it appears there was a metal hoop at one time, probably for hanging. This may have been part of a set (chased by a dog?). How big is it?
