    I need some help identifying the model designation of this 1940s vintage Gibson. Single pick-up...arch back...I can't see any numbers inside the body.

      Just a little note -- go on edit and slide your first picture over and replace it with your second. The picture that everyone sees is the case -- I believe you wish to highlight the guitar.
