      yes thanks packrat i just checked it out its simular but notquite the same model is this is 1 A and the other is A1,i found simular ones bu tnot exact model

      this lamp that was a replacement for the canary in the cage was developed by sir francis davey in 1815 and was not to be used as a lamp so to speak but a device to detect dangerous gases with in a mine.john kruesel
