Recently purchased this huge dinner set of Haviland Limoges. I have never seen a set as complete. Service for 12. Only 4 coffee cups missing. I am having trouble finding the pattern name or number. Can anyone help me identify this wonderful set?

Wowie! Can you please get a better photo of the hallmarks? That might help the Limoges fancier identify the pattern. Beautiful.

Very pretty! The green part looks like the green underglaze blank mark "mark H", from 1888-1896. But I can't tell for sure what color the pattern is.. it looks like pink flowers but I can't tell if there is any green or yellow in the pattern or if it's gold. SO many of these patterns are quite similar with just some variation in color or pattern placement and arrangement on the plate. Can you show a picture of a dinner plate flat that shows the placement of the pattern? That will make it easier to see the design, placement of the pattern on the plate and if it has a scalloped edge or any verge marks or design. Good luck!

Hi, all. I just got this photo, steveiii. Glad to see that the Calvary has arrived, chinablue! This looks like a Ranson blank to me, with gold accents in good vintage condition. Pattern looks like a transfer with taupe outlines, which image was then perhaps hand-tinted. Pink flowers look like the palest pink, and are perhaps roses. In Limoges, there are many patterns on many blanks! Since there are over 30,000 possible variations, it might take a long time to ID this pattern. The following link is excellent. I think the Haviland collectors ID option option from miKKo is a great idea! Some that collect Haviland can identify it right off the bat with little info. You're right about there being so many combinations of patterns/blanks that it just multiplies the possibilities of combinations.
From the green manufacturer's mark underglaze mark, I figured it was "Mark H" 1888-1896. I suppose the decorating could have been done anytime after it was made. The red decorator mark shown on this piece was used 1876-1878/1889-1931. From that I'd guess it was after 1889. I have no idea how long the blanks might have been used after they were made.
The "made for Frank Haviland is a little confusing for me. At worthpoint, I found this reference to Frank Haviland "FRANK HAVILAND of 218 Fifth Avenue, NEW YORK" who, from about 1893-1888 decorated Haviland while living in Limoges and who became an NY importer around 1889 for a few years' with First Hands" There is a mark used by him at the site you posted, but it's not on this piece. That along with the "made for Frank Haviland" makes me think it was another decorator, but I don't know.
stevehiii, you may want to check out any items that have covers, such as a sugar bowl, tureen, etc. Some of them have more markings/numbers that may be of help to someone that is more familiar with Haviland than I am. Good hunting!

miKKo, I'm hardly the Cavalry, but it's funny because I DO own an old military bugle. *LOL* I'm just someone that loves doing detective work on things people love. Most of what I happen to have any bit of knowledge about comes from searching for information on my own collection of tchotchkes and dust collectors over the years. Some things I remember, some I have books on and since the internet, I have the world at my fingertips, as my husband likes to say. I have been lucky enough to have had elderly people, during my lifetime that also had a lot of knowledge they thankfully shared with me. Living on a farm has helped 'cause I have seen all kinds of tools, hardware and household goods that has been on family farms since the area was settled.
And I plan on following this set of china until we figure out what it is or run out of leads. I'm guess once it's identified, we'll never forget it or the name of it!

If you send a photo to replacements.com they will identify your pattern and then, if you want, they will send you emails when pieces are listed in your pattern. They prefer you send a photo of the saucer, I think. Look on their site and they have easy to follow instructions. And no, I don't work there or have any vested interested in that company. It's just a great site, IMO.
