Is there any way to post a clearer photo with no light reflection on the crystal? Looks like a Great watch!
This is the best of all the pictures I took.....
Who does it say made it in lower part of photo with cowboys I can see writing ? Does it say Japan that is what I am seeing but just to be sure can you post what it says please :-)
I need better picture to tell for sure, but the construction of the watch, implies the it has a Animated feature, rocking gun or something. The title of the watch I can't be sure of, but the dial says Swiss Made, Mani. Also, from what I can see of the band, it appears to be a 1950's style "Rexall" Character Watch. I'll see if I can locate a "Title", Possible just "Cowboys" but I'll be looking for it. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Kerry!! I have been on the hunt for weeks!!
gcocks, did you sell this watch? I was just wondering, because I got one of these now , the watch band on mine is different from this one. The band I have is a "Western" style motif and resembles the Mid 50's Gene autry band. I research several books and lot of time on the net, The only similar character to this would be Jeff Arnold( England's Cowboy Hero from the 1950's-60's). I'm awaiting an email from a collector in Great Britain to see if he might have a reference to this piece. the search is still alive and going.
I still have the watch......thanks for the research.....I have come up with nothing!
I just posted mine also, It will bug me until We find out. The person I refered to about, is an avid character watch collector also, but deals mainly in Europeian pieces, maybe with some luck, he might have some material on them. thanks for your patience and hopefully we'll get some answer, one of these days. LOL
I will look forward to that Kerry!!! lol
Wow Kerry.....exactly the same!! Where did you find this one?
gcocks, I found this one the other day and had to have it, lol. Btw, I posted this on my listing then copied and pasted to yours:
Update: These with the stem and crown at the 4 o'clock position are Made by The Agon Chrono Watch Company. This is a Swiss company and the movements are dated as to their production date. Mine was made in 1973. The title is "The Gunslinger"
Hi gcocks, I just stumbled across this same watch and was trying to research it. Do you have more information since your post a year ago? Thanks.
