I found this and have no clue what it is.. Stand feels like cast with grapevine leaves has a drip pan with a spril holder for looks to be an upside down oil lamp if that makes sense.. Glass has etched grapes with vines on it .. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Interesting item! Can't tell much from the picture, but does the end of the glass container have a metal tip? Is there an opening for liquid to flow from it? Or is what looks like a metal tip really part of the spiral with the glass piece coming to a closed end that rests inside of the metal tip? Does the drip pan appear to have had anything hot or burned in it such as an oil or a candle? I'm anxious to find out what this is!
without any research at all....it looks like an absinthe dispenser. But all the ones i have seen have a spigot or a stopcock. Don't give up digmuphamm! Very intriguing.
Thanks chinablue and jimborasco, It does have a metal tip on the glass and has like a metal wick like peice.The pan has alot of wear so it has had heat most likely.Its a very interesting and confusing peice and I cant wait to find out what it is..Thanks again
