1980s Yamaha mini-cycle rocking horse with running & revving engine sound. This was a factory promotional item found in some of the dealer showrooms back then. I "rescued" this one from a flea-market vender that did not want to drag it back home.
nick u have some nice bikes and stuff ! whats ur email address id like talk more on ur stuff nice vintage bikes in great shape i hope u ride them. their lucky finds.
Thank you for the comment! I ride 'em, been riding since the '70s. Most of them I've bought, rode for awhile sold, bought more, so on & so on. I normally don't like to post an e-mail to avoid all the spam & junk. Not sure what would be a good way to do this?
Hi Nick,
My husband and I came across this extact bouncy bike about 10 years ago except ours is yellow and black. I havent been able to find any info on it. Do you have any information or know where I can get some information about this.
We love the red and white you have. Have you considered selling it?
Thanks
Janna Roberts
Thanks for the comment Janna. I no longer have this rocker, I sold it years ago, but still wanted to post a pic. I was not able to find much info on it back then. Just that it was supposed to be a dealer promotional item back in the early-mid '80s. Do you have any pics posted of yours? I don't think that I've ever seen another, but I know there has to be more out there somewhere.
Thanks for getting back to me. I do have a pic but for some reason the site is having trouble letting me upload it. I set it as my profile pic but not sure if it worked or not. I can email you one if you want to give me an email address.
very nice condition , i also have one ,but with way more ware . thanks for sharing ...........
Thanks mikesbikes!
bought this for my son in 1986 for his first birthday...now he's a pro sx/mx racer!! trying to find same one (red/white) for his child, my grandchild...1 y.o. in January '14. Anyone comes across one, even in tough shape, please email me!
Thanks for the comment! I've still never seen another one of these and had found little info on them.
Good luck in your search though!
Laker mechanical, I have a "Red and White". It's in rough shape, no throttle and faded paint. I re-do foreclosures for buyers and found one in an attic this month. I was going to give it to Goodwill but for some reason felt like looking it up to see if it was worth anything. I have 2 young girls and they're not into dirt bikes. You asked for one so contact me and I'll give it to you free, no strings, no kidding. I live in Georgia.
I used to have one of these from when I was a kid. I have endless photos and vidoes of me riding it. I would love to get my hands on one for my son... I am expecting in July. Whyby4n do you still have yours???
Thanks A
Thanks for the comment A. I no longer have it.
It's the only one I've ever run across, other than a couple internet photos here & there.
I do still have a red and white minus the throttle. I'm not in this to make a buck. I would like to find a good appreciative person as to use this to share and revive lost memories. Life is too short. Memories last and deserve to be shared. This is free, no strings to anyone that believes the same. Make arrangements at 478-335-2338. I have nothing to gain except the satisfaction that a child can may share that same emotion.
I have a yellow and black one that I'm restoring for my grandson but I can't find a pic or information on the colors and the battery operated sounds where can I find information it only says blazon-flexible flyer inc on the sound assembly....
any information would be great....
Hi,
At the time when I had this one, there was almost no info to be found on the internet about them, not sure if there's anything more now. Mine had the same name on it. The sound mechanism should have a battery access door that once opened you can see what size & how many batteries are needed. I forget what size they use. Good luck in your info search.
Thanks!
I am desperately searching for one of these rocking bikes! After searching the internet high and low for a dirt bike "rocking horse", this site showed me exactly what I am looking for. As it turns out my almost 2 year old son is obsessed with motorcycles, dirt bikes in particular. If any one out there knows of one for sale, please let me know. It would be much appreciated! Thanks.
We have a Yamaha YZ version (black and yellow). The throttle that makes the sound has been replaced with a solid metal piece. Otherwise it's in nice shape. I have a picture but not sure how to post it on here.
whyby4n I tried to call you to see if you still have it available. My bro will be passing through GA pulling a bike trailer at the end of July and maybe I could work out a pickup. I'm in upstate NY. Vintage Flair, can you try to email a pic to me? I prefer the red/white since thats the one my son had, but will consider the yellow...please email photo to lakermechanical@aol.com. Thanks to all...if these don't work out, still interested if someone comes across them.
Bought this for my son when he was three. Professional road racer now! Would love to surprise him with one like it for my grand baby. Any out there for sale?
Vintage flair please contact me. Motorcycle_andrews@yahoo.com
Bkirk019, I have a yellow and black one and it's original instruction manual and parts lists. I can send you pictures of all of it if you can use them.
O M GOD.................!!!!!!!!! I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR YEARS FOR "THE YAMAHA MX ROCKING MOTORCYCLE"....

MY NAME IS RALPH FROM CALIFORNIA....I WOULD BE SO GRATEFUL IF YOU CAN HELP ME FIND SOME YAMA-ROCKERS........ I GAVE ALL THE YAMA-ROCKERS TO FRIENDS AND FAMILY, BUT THAT WAS OVER THIRTY YEARS AGO.... I INVENTED AND PATENT THE TOY AND I DON'T OWN ONE MYSELF... PLEASE HELP IF YOU CAN .. THANK YOU AGAIN.... RALPH
Hi Ralph,
Thanks for the comment That's pretty interesting! I no longer have this one, but if I run across any others I'll try to let you know.
Thanks again!
I have a yellow and black one. I bought for my son 28 years ago. Been in the garage for some 20 years. He is also now a professional flattrack racer. Maybe there's something to these for early training. I bought it at K's merchadice. I think it was like $125 back then. He would wear footed pj's and his older sisters white snow boots with pink hearts on them for his race boots. I had to take the batteries out of it. The noise would drive you crazy after awhile.
Hi,
It's great to hear of another one of these little toys that are still around! I've always wandered how many of these were made/sold, but the info available out there on them is just about nothing. I had found very little on them, other than some info on the item tag itself. I no longer have this one, but I seem to remember that Blaze-On made them? This one still had working sound on it after all the years.
Thank you for the comment!
I have a yellow and black Yamaha one I would like to fix it up nice. So if any one knows or has the handle bars and sound parts let me know. Thanks
Here's one for sale: http://www.ebay.com/itm/271907645750?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649
Ralph I have one of these the throttle and wiring is missing. Please contact me ohiocrew1@gmail.com.
Did Ralph ever contact anyone about the Yahama bike? I would love to ask him a few questions about it. I bought one for my son in 1987 and it was passed through the family and I thought it had been put in storage at my Mom's. My son wanted more information on the bike as he now has a son of his own.
My first dirt bike was a MX 100 enduro. The memories. Thanks for posting this.
I have this bike right at my moms
I have a red and white one i found at a garage sale 10 years ago. My kid has outgrown it. The throttle and sound still work and i added metal reinforcement around the front hole where the plastic had started to come apart. Friend's kids have since stayed and used it a lot, they love it.
Wow. Been looking for one for awhile for my daughter
Hi collectors,
Can you please help me find this toy?
I invented this back in 1986.
My granddaughter is 3 years old and its sad I don't have one to give her...
