The location of this particular painting is unknown (to Treasury’s Office of the Curator office), but Treasury’s collection includes a smaller version, also showing the construction of the Archives.

Thank you kindly, scandinavian_pieces! Yes, Mr. Doniphan is shown standing in front of the large mirror, and with one arm behind his painting. He looks dapper with the pocket kerchief, and he does have a mustache.
BY THE WAY, THIS IS THE ONLY PHOTOGRAPH OF DONIPHAN THAT I HAVE FOUND IN ALL THE TIME I'VE BEEN RESEARCHING HIM. QUITE REMARKABLE GIVEN HIS VERY PUBLIC CAREER. miKKo
