someone came to the nursery the other day and offered me $1,000 for my 4 matching garden chairs. actually there are two like this one and the other two don't have arms. i turned her down, because i really like the chairs alot, and think they may be even more valuable. did i make a mistake? these are heavy, outdoor chairs in an old gold paint. i think they are from somewhere between 1900 and 1920. i bought them years ago at a yardsale for $20 each [which seemed like alot at the time].

thanks Moonhill. as of yet, i don't regret it. i really like them and have only seen a few which are somewhat similar and they were very expensive.

Wow! First off they are very cool. I'd guess Victorian garden solarium chairs?
Second, I'd have been tempted as I've got my eye on something expensive but probably worth double that!

Eye, platinum necklace. Every once in a very great while I feel the need to spend money on jewelry. Think it's been about 8 years since I got this groove on.

Nope, jewelry store that also carries vintage jewelry. Not getting at the moment but want!!! Rarely spend over $5 at thrift unless I'm positive.
