Maggie-Dog
(8 items)
I purchased this glass "ashtray" at a garage sale yesterday. It looked like a green/teal/blue color and white on the underside in the garage and when I brought it home. Today the weather/lighting is different, and the color seems to have a slight fluorescence/yellow tint in it. I have compared this dish or ashtray to other pieces of vintage glass online and have not found anything that looks quite like it. There was a label stuck to the bottom at one point, but must have been removed. The adhesive residue is still visible, so the label must have been a shape approximately 1 1/2 inches tall and 2 inches across at the widest point. Does anyone have any idea what this is, the material, the brand, or year? Thank you.
Not a clue but it is beautiful. Float pink or white camellias or gardenias in it.
Thank you, that's a great idea. Pink would be beautiful!
Love it!
Beautiful !! And love Maggie the Dog !!!
Thank you miKKoChristmas11 and Hedgewalker!
Hedgewalker-Thank you!! My boyfriend found Maggie-Dog on the side of the road clinging to life, while in Texas temporarily. So, as it turns out our "child" ended up being four legged and fury! Truly, our best "find" yet!
There's not much stronger than the bond between a dog and his human...I bet she thanks you every day for saving her.Truly a precious find !!!!!!
BTW Try a blacklight on this piece.I wouldn't be surprised if she glows.
I saw a bumper sticker with a paw print on it not too long ago saying, Who "Rescued" Who? I thankful everyday that we found her!! I'm sure it's mutual, she's a good pup. :)
I'm going to try that! I did read about Vaseline and Uranium glass, and it does seem to have some of that yellow running through it. If she glows I'll post a picture!
I noticed you have quite a beautiful collection of pieces that glow!
Thanks Maggies human !
looks like it could be Murano Art Glass...
Love Maggies Story!!
