My mom gave this to me, i think its real cool.

I thought it was just a regular stapler but i researched it and found out that its a picture frame stapler, but then i posted it here and mrmajestic1 commented that glaziers used them to install glass panes too.

This 'fires' diamond shaped points that should still be readily available. Not used for picture frames but also glaziers use them installing glass panes.

You're welcome and I meant to say in my above answer to you with, "Not only used........".

So you can use it for both?
    5. mrmajestic1 mrmajestic1, 13 years ago
You can use it for both and this tool should take different sized points.

If you intend to use it..........take my advise practice on scrap first. This tool also breaks glass if you are a beginner who never used one before. Don't ask how I know it breaks glass, just have a good laugh. New ones are either electric or air powered and easier to use.

This brings back funny but bad memories of a lesson learned.

I work for a lumber/hardware store and we have an old box of the glazier points that are used in this tool. Very nice find!

I recently purchased ones of these at a garage sale and I would like to use it for framing (I'm an artist). It didn't have instructions with it and I cannot figure out how to load the glazier points.
Is there anyone on here who could explain it to me? I will probably feel quite dumb when I find out how easy it is but I haven't figured it out yet.
