Vintage Chinese Aubusson wool rug?

I also bought this great rug at that sale. It needs a good cleaning, but the condition overall is great. It is VERY heavy and very thick and plush. I am going to clean it myself and use it in the living room. I don't know much about rugs, so maybe someone can tell me approx. age and name for this type of rug.

I kept trying to figure out this rug and noticed the decorative motifs are of instruments, so I looked up Chinese stringed instruments. The designs in the rug look a lot like some of the instruments- I think one of the images is of a moon guitar (image in center of rug). This is just my guess.
