I got these cards from my Grandpa after he passed away. He was a searchlight operator in World War 2. I think they are I.D. cards to determine what planes to attack or not, but I am not sure. Does anyone know what they are and what the value might be?

Sounds like a good guess. My Mom worked for the Civil Defense during the War and she had to memorize the different shapes of all the planes, and I'll bet she used something like these!

Yep, all U.S. planes. They all have hand written numbers on the4 back too. I'm not sure if they were used in the War or at Tech school before the war as training material. I would really like to find out the value as well.

I appreciate the info everyone. Does anyone on here have an idea of what they sell for? I don't have a complete set. I only have 8 of them. Just curious.
