Ok I just won this off of ebay. We all know I have a creepy doll fixation. Look at those eyes! The seller says she's wax. Arm is separated, but pieces are all still there. 18 inches tall, filled with some sort of organic substance. Would she be worth the effort to fix up?
I could't sleep in the same room with this! Super creepy!!! lol...
LOL! That's why I bought it! And it's definitely not going in my bedroom hehehe
Is that Chuckys Bride?? WOW!!!!
LOL!! Awww...she's not *that* bad. **snicker**
Love this "Baby Jane" looking doll :) All of them look pretty creepy, but this one is something else!
The # 2 photo looks like she made chucky pretty Mad:)
She is a German what is called a wax over . Her head is not solid wax which would increase her value and also date her age older than yours . Many people think the wax will melt , that has not been the case they have out lived many antique dolls . They can be restored . She has beautiful blown glass eyes . On a later body dating her 1890-1910 . She is wonderful and just needs a bit of cleaning up . :-)
Wow, Manikin, you're amazing! :)
Thank you Manikin! So you think she's worth the cleanup? I got her pretty cheaply, the seller said she freaked her out. lol
yes JL she is a good doll and why some little girl loved her to pieces years ago would she freak anyone . She served as a little girls friend many many years ago . These dolls were not as pretty as bisque but they also did not break that easy . Of coarse clean her and dress her nice and love her :-)
Thank you austro !
Send me an email I will tell you how to clean her ok . manikin1234@aol.com
Yeah, If she's going to be creepy at least she can be clean...More than I can say for a lot of people I've seen...lol...

Aww that's really cute! And really appropriate for my house. ;)
you need a full size one jlen :-) Poster size . I think I have your email addy I can send you front without my stamp on it if you like to print ? I stamped it because I was seeing some of my dolls ect showing up on some strange websites that just use our photo's with no permission . I don't mind sharing the doll photo's on web but prints and photo's some I prefer to stay just on CW :-)
Yeah sure thing Manikin, it would go great with my collection! =) tammy.moreau@gmail.com
Wow, got her in the mail today. I think I'm in over my head, may look into getting her restored. Her arm is loosely hanging from her dress, and her other arm....I don't even know how to reattach. Her dress appears to be glued to the wax. And the silly person that had her before me thought they could scrape the "old wax" off. So she has some places right above her dress' neck line that has wax pushed up. I don't want to mess her up worse. And her eyes are beautiful in person!
A complete restore would be costly more than doll is worth. You can live with some of her imperfections . I have to see arm a close up of arm I can help you attach it . Can you email me her nude ?
Can't get her nude, I don't believe. It almost looks like the wax had melted a little, securing the dress to the doll. The arm looks like it just slid over a chunk of cotton, and the dress looks like it secured it in place. Not sure. I'll try to get some pictures for you.
