Armed with my latest purchase, (the green Loetz rose bowl), I was inspired by the Rindskopf shape comparison posted this week on CW to look at a similar shape done by different makers. A variety of techniques and decors are represented here; silver deposit, feather pulled, molded, intaglio cut, and enameled.

I love rose bowls-- thanks for sharing your beauties!

I have always loved that Rindskopf rosebowl of yours. It is really a great piece. I didn't realize you had a collection of these! The Diaspora is a honey too!
Thanks - it's a small collection put together by happenstance over time. :)
now I want to go looking thru my collection and see how many rosebowls I have. I doubt so many! what a nice gathering :)
As a rose bowl collector, I love this!
I have one proper rose bowl. Just one. I have a lot of, "perhaps it's a rosebowl and perhaps it's not" pieces. Very similar but not this classic shape.
Al - the Harrach bowl is marked with the feather plume mark. The only one I'm unsure of is the Rindskopf bowl on the middle left - the glass just doesn't quite feel right... but the colors are pretty compelling for Rindskopf, I think.
