This was a chain of photo booths? I've never seen this before and I think it is so Americana! Like the big doughnut, or hot dog or even the old Brown Derby restaurant out in L.A.
It was heading for the scrap pile when I found it .One of these days I hope it gets a home and brought back to life . As a child I remember this one in use, People are to quick to throw stuff away anymore
For us uninformed, what is a film pickup booth?
During the 70's these booths sit in mall parking lots and other places just like ATM bank machines do today . You could drop off your film from your camera and pick it up when its done or buy new film .They had a person that would sit in it all day . It had a ac and heat as you can see above the back door .You would pull up to it like a drive in window at a fast food place and do your business.
Perhaps it was US only or just the big cities, sure never saw one out on the Prairies.
Most were trashed . Leaving a handfull . like phone booths you can still find them but they are fading fast . I think they are a great item to have .
