Another on of Granddad's watches.(he was a collector) It's a Waltham, Model 1883, 15 jewel with the safety pinion. How can i get some of the scratches from the crystal? Thanks Jimbo

jimborasco,
On my old Mickey with a glass crystal, that I wear, I take out light scratches by rubbing it out toothpaste. Seems to work for me on very light scratches.
By the way, I love your old Waltham.
Dave
As Dave said, toothpaste will work on fine scratches, if the Crystal is a plastic source, try using "Duraglit" wadding by Brasso, use it sparingly and in a circle motion until the glaze dries out a little then buff with clean, soft terri-type cloth or glass cleaner cloth works the best.
Thanks Dave and kerry. I thought about rubbing compound but thought again deciding that might be too harsh. Thanks again. Jimbo
