These were hanging out in a local shop that is finally starting to clear out, the owner has been saying for three years now that they "are done this year" ,lol. Anyhow, They aren't in the best condition but we don't see many cardboards in this area, in any condition. So for $30 I figured why not. They measure 16" x 20" and are most likely from the early 60's.
too bad about the water damage on the one with the pin-up gal on it, but those are definitely very cool in any condition.
Thanks Ray, when I saw them I first thought maybe Canadian????
Thank you KillsBugs, I'll hang on to them till I find minty ones though, stains and all
Thirty bucks well spent, that's for sure.
The second one is pretty cool, classic fishtail. :)
Thanks Dave and spriteboy, I just couldn't leave em there ya know, they were the best C-C items in that shop in a long time. There is a 60's six-pack display there but it's pretty fried, I'll probably grab it before they "close for good"......
Bill would know better than me, but i dont think these are Canadian signs, I have never seen a Canadian sign with the fish tail design.
Thank you fuel, crabbykins, Trey, and jbcollector!!!!
Tommy, I am an avid watch collector, and have seen several pocket watches lately with the Coca-Cola logo on the dials, was wondering if any would be a vintage Coca-Cola item or a fantasy item. Your insight would be helpful. Thanks Kerry
Kerry10456, I will have to direct you to the long time collectors (TGBWC and earlycoke) on that question, however a quick check of Petretti's 12 shows some pocket watches that have Coca-Cola faces but are fantasy pieces.
Thank you , I thought maybe so, but never hurts to ask. Thanks again.
Nice grab Tommy. I've seen on the Antique's Roadshow" paper items damaged with stains, and the experts advise to see a paper/document conservator, who can, for very little money, restore the damage . Might be an option here!
Tommy, you are certainly in the "Catbird seat" when it comes to finding some cool stuff within your job. Great finds!
Thanks Perry, I do get around a little bit with work but the best finds in the past few weeks have been from garage sales and great heads-up from the ebay watchers!!! Bernie, if I ever get caught up with "extra" projects and getting all these goodies properly displayed, I will have to give that some thought!!
