I have had this for some time, and it's a huge mystery. It's a large photograph (12x9), framed within a frame because it's 3D. It looks to me like it was done with Photomontage (at least two negative used), but I think two techniques were used. Photogravure? The girl in the picture is raised about a quarter of an inch maybe slightly less. The background is blurred to make up for the warping of the subject. It's hard to show in any picture I've taken. I have emailed people over the years but I got no answer what the technique was used here. I love it. When the light hits a certain way it looks as though light is coming through the window.
I wanted to bump this up because I took more pictures (that will show if you click them, what is up with that?) Anyway from these new pictures you can better see the 3D effect that was used for this photograph. Any idea's what this kind of picture technique is called?
Great photo.....Granville Ohio is a great place to shop for antiques .
