This is a Heisey compote that one antique dealer told me was the biggest piece of Heisey she had ever seen. Does anyone have any idea what the value of a large piece of Heisey would be?

Beautiful. How tall is it? Part of determining value is determining the purpose. For example, a toothpick holder is usually more valuable than a berry bowl.
This piece is about 17-18 inches tall. It has the "H" clearly marked on the bottom. It does have a ridge around the top- which suggests at one time- it may have had a lid.
Heisey did make some compotes like this without the lid, but if yours has a ridge inside, it is likely a Heisey Puritan candy jar bottom. The thing is, the larger size is about the height you say, 17 inches, with the lid. So, are you sure on the height? Where did you find it?
