These are little perfume bottles that I found while cleaning out an old house about 10 years or so ago. They were so pretty and unique I kept them and have had them in a curio cabinet every since. Everyone just ooo's and ahh's over them and how pretty they are, that I thought I would maybe try to find out some history behind them or their worth if anyone might be able to help out. Their are no names or signatures on them, but looks as tho they are trimmed in gold and are in excellent shape. Thanks for any info.
They are Egyptian souvenirs. You can buy them all over. Pretty little things.
I agree Amber, very pretty. Though I have seen them appearing in antique stores & sometimes they have high prices, but I see them sit on the shelf & not sell.
Hi Becky - what a great find! Great for display by a window :-)
It's interesting that Egyptian bottles are not as well collected in western countries but they do have a large following in the Middle East. It is surprising too because Perfume originally came out of Egypt (not france) and they created the first perfume flacons. You can see Dior pays homage to the Egyptian style bottle in his original perfume bottles.
