The Ladies Legs corkscrew is a classic piece for collectors. They are a little risque and very desirable amongst all collectors.
They were know to have been in production for over 40 years! So there's plenty for everyone. They only come in 2 sizes, but at last count in 2000 there were over 75 known variations of scales!
Speaking of variations in scales, these pieces are mostly found in celluloid. But some scales were produced in steel, brass, and even in nickel-silver! Anyone got an extra?
These corkscrews were produced in Germany. You will find many different markings on these. Some simply say "Germany" or "Registered", while some have retailers or exporters names on them.
I'm always looking to pick up these legs! Drop me a line and we can make a deal!
P.S.
These legs were reproduced twice since they stopped making them in the 20's! They were reproduced in the late 1970's and have plastic thigh scales and metal groves with paint for striped stockings. Also in the 1980's they made a very similar reproduction piece but only with a MOP plastic thighs and red painted metal stockings (actually pictured above with the brass mini legs).

Hello,
I have one of these ladies legs corkscrews in the blue/green color. What is confusing to me is that all of my research, including your page, say these are marked. Mine have no identifying marks, none. Have you come across unmarked ones? Other than the missing marks, they look identical to the ones on your page, left side, except in bluish green.
Any help would be appreciated.
Regards,
Rose
