What's visible in the centre hole, does the rim look the same on the other side? If that is remnants of a bearing it could be from the front wheel of a cart, it has an automotive look to it, the four slots around the centre could have been for a hub cap.

Being a 10" tire, and the hole in the center, looks to be from an old wheelbarrow.

i have a lot of old wheelbarrows in my collection of garden stuff and it doesn't look at all right for any of those. it's much too narrow, which makes me think that it belongs to a pair, rather than a single-wheeled thingie. it has very little wear on it as well. i also think it has an automotive look to it, but who knows? i'll check the hub later when i get a moment.

I agree that the slots suggest a hubcap. Fancy pull wagon? Its pneumatic nature, what with the valve stem, makes me curious.

when i first saw it i thought auto, with the metal spoke style wheels, after reading & a closer look, dont laugh, iv'e never seen one up close but, one of those "Shriner" cars you see at there circus's.............I told you not to laugh.

It could be a rear tire off of a high wheeled lawn mower with decorative hubcap.

I would say it is from sort of childs ridding toy . A peddle car , trike , wagon or scooter .

I would agree with DobbinDee70. It it the right size and the same wheel, they called them artillery style.
I know BMC used tires marked Firestone but have never seen one with pneumatic tires.
The old pedal car ads list them as semi-pneumatic although I remember seeing one that said balloon style.
      Great looking wheel!

Balloon Style???? Sounds like a lot of hot air to me! ;)

lol, I have Arcade toys that say "Arcade Balloon" on the tires and they are solid, go figure.
