QUEZAL Art Glass vase with deep purple iridescence and golden highlights over a white base glass decorated with vertical white stripes, a ruffled opening and a gold iridescent interior.
Engraved in gold on a concave polished pontil: QUEZAL
I would have never believed this was Quezal without the signature..quite a departure for them and to me, very Czech-like. Gorgeous.
famatta127, I'm glad you like this recent acquisition, the color configuration is highly unusual and rare for earlier dated Quezal....maybe you can be tempted with some additional American examples....
JJZ.....I have the same vase in white with green stripes. Will post it again.
FWF, I thought mine would get a reaction out of you...I'm sure they were made by the same gaffer and in the same time period...they are identical in their form and construction...just made from different pots of glass...JJZ
