Almost looks like Durand's King Tut.
FWF, as I'm sure you already know, Tiffany Studios referred to this decoration as damascene....King Tut's tomb was discovered in late 1922 and excavated until 1930. During this period so much world interest formed around the discovery that a kind of "Tut-Mania" was created. The Quezal factory closed 1n late 1924 and the Quezal art glass team moved over to the Durand factory around 1925 and started making art glass under the Durand banner. The term for this decoration caught on at Durand as the "King Tut Decoration". Although on first appearance it does look very similar to the earlier Tiffany Studios and Quezal decoration the former is a much tighter defined coil than the Durand "Emil J. Larson" version. However, both are very attractive....
