I posted these two pieces recently looking for help with identifying them and art.pottery thought it would be helpful if I included a photo of the bottoms. Hence, the re-posting.
Thanks for your thoughts and suggestions.
Smaller vase appears to be Fulper shape "583". Does it measure 6 1/2" tall? As I recall, the vertical, raised, Fulper mark appears on that form. Pic of the base isn't large enough for me to tell whether that's a marking.
Thinking the glaze would be "Wistaria"?
Still not sure on the larger vase. I'm currently leaning toward Camark, although I'll agree the base most resembles your initial Muncie guess. You said you'd ruled Muncie out? How tall is the larger vase?
Haeger?
This is very nice of you to respond with your thoughts. Yes, the "Fulper" vase is 6 1/2 inches and I do not see any marks. I didn't rule out Muncie for the other vase. I have a fairly large collection of this make and various books. At first I thought it might be, but can not find any pictures to match. Not sure about Haeger.
Thanks again.
You'd posted before (post without base pics) <i>I'm pretty sure the one on the right is not a Muncie because it isn't in any of the books I have.<i>
Found it on page 41 of the Rans - Eckleman Muncie Pottery text. Shape number 122, 12" tall. Matte Green over Rose airbrushed glaze.
OK. Thanks very much, again!
