I want to share with our viewers my Ingram 8-day figure eight wall clock. Some one painted the "man in the moon" on the dial. The key hole is his mouth. I thought about re-finishing the dial but I really like it as is. It is a keeper.
    Thanks for looking and enjoy.
    Jim

      Jim,
Very nice. The paint doesn't look like it's flaking off so if you like it, there's really no need to do anything to it. It's a one-of-a-kind, true antique (circa 1890s?) with plenty of whimsical character. That's probably why you picked it up in the first place, no?

I got it at a local auction for $45. I do love it. No one was bidding because of its dial :)

Great pick! You love it "as is", and you would have had plenty of "cushion" to work with had you decided to restore it to it's original appearance. Thanks for sharing it with us!

This really is nice Jim! The more I look at it, the more I like it. I can see why you opted to leave it as found. The moon face was well done and is obviously an early part of the history of this clock.

I love it - including the moonface! :)
