I purchased this sculpture at an estate sale ... needless to say, I didn't have any prior knowledge of Moser items, but the piece caught my eye! I do not really know what I have because even with all my attempts at research, I have failed to find any similar images. I would be indebted to anyone who would take a minute to enlighten me!
The fish is a smoke color, there are two labels near the head: one reads Moser 1857-1957 Made in Czechoslovakia and the other reads Selected for CID Czechoslovakia. There is an etched Moser logo on the bottom surface w/ an engraved signature that looks to read V. Liskova. I have found nothing like this piece in my search of these words ... as a matter of fact, if the signature is meant to refer to Vera Liskova, then this piece resembles nothing she is known to have created!
Any insights would be greatly appreciated! I find the research and discovery to be a fun past time, although I do get more than a bit anxious when I do not have any success!
Thank you!
V?ra Lišková is right!
Check out the Moser site:

This is so totally different to her lamp-work pieces, but it is her!
Check out Exbor fish too, to compare. The Exbor fish were done by Stanislav Honzik and Josef Rozinek around 1958 too!
Vetraio50,
How wonderful! Thank you SO much! About six months ago, I had found the page you referred me to, but could not find it again! Maddening! I sincerely appreciate your insight! So thoughtful of you!
Now a little more digging, and perhaps I'll know the value of my fun find!
Take care,
