This is a little bottle that my grandma had with a matching color daubber but it doesn't fit the bottle. My mother said she thought the daubber had been in a rubber stopper and that there had been a metal band that screwed onto the bottle to hold the rubber stopper from being pulled out in the store.

I would appreciate any ideas that you may have. The last picture shows the pattern on the bottle the best, the others show the color of the glass much better.

Thank you for looking and any opinions you may have!

"Jars and bottles are distinguished by their openings. A jar has a wide mouth, typically of the same width of the jar or very close to it. A bottle, on the other hand, has a neck which is much narrower than the body of the bottle, with a lipped mouth to facilitate pouring without spilling."
I feel like that is a stopper and not a dauber. Is there anything on the bottom of the jar?

Thank you for the definition! I would then have to classify this as a jar. I thought it would have done more with the threading on the lip to facilitate a screw on lid.

No there is no markings on the bottom of the little jar. I did just notice that the back center has no pattern. The small panels have the flower pattern, but the center one is just smooth/empty. I had never noticed that before.
