This is an electric lamp with an oil lamp attached to the side. I haven't been able to find anything like it anywhere. Its not for sale, but is it worth anything? Who made it, how old is it, any info would be appreciated.
No, never seen one like it. But is certainly makes sense to me! I live in a very rural area where we frequently have power outages that can last from a few minute to several days when the weather is bad. I'm wondering if this could have been made in the early years of electricity when it wasn't always dependable and the kerosene/oil lamp could be used as a backup. I know if I had one, I'd sure find it a handy thing to have! Thanks for showing it. If I ever see another one, I'll let you know. Very interesting piece.
*LOL* scandi, I have my moments.. or as my husband calls them, my 'turns'. I've never seen anything like it but if they didn't make one like that, I think I should patent the idea.
