    I just thought I would post several more photographs I took yesterday of some more houses around here. I am not sure what the large wheels are, but my guess would be counter weights for a large steam engine. Notice how they are chained to the tree? Do they really think somebody is going to steal 2500 lb. wheels?

      i just luv the metal roofs!! id bet they will be there until a twister (or some local code enforcement) brings them down!

      It could very well be, those mines had some monster machinery, water pumpers, etc.
