Nearly the one that got away for good, I first saw this piece in an antiques mall in a place I can't remember nearly two years ago. The seller was adamant that this was American (Fry) glass. The second I picked it up, I knew it wasn't. The material used and the architectural elements are all wrong. This piece is heavy, has a stand ring, and a small polished pontil. Though I was intrigued the first time I saw it, I said "pass". A couple of months later I was thumbing through Das Bohmisches Glass, Band III (Historicism period), and lo and behold there it was. I said to myself at the time that if I ever saw it again, I would pick it up, and two years later, here we are. :)

White alabaster glass, blown into a mold. Small ground and polished pontil. Stand ring on the bottom, the top edge is outwardly curved with applied molten red glass rim.
This line of pieces is shown in the Harrach factory design books (including the line drawings) in the year 1869, page 82.

Remarkable. It is so delicate in appearance, my first guess would have been German. I will have to keep my eyes open now for alabaster glass. I wonder how many pieces of Harrach I may have let slip by.

Al - that is exactly what led me to pick this off the shelf the first time -from a distance I thought it was Kralik!
