I just bought this item for very cheap at a yard sale. I have scoured the internet for the exact same can and cant find one that says "new" instead of "improved" or "insulated". Am I wrong in thinking this is a rare piece? I believe the can has a soldered seam down the side. The bottom was taken off completely. Did I spend my money for nothing? What do you think?

It looks a little faded and scratchy but aside from that, if you didn't spend more than your comfort zone you probably did just fine.
