Can anyone tell me anything about these dolls; I think they are made by Niresk. I tried researching but have come up empty in finding out if they are truely Niresk and the value. I would appreciate any and all help. Denise
Your dolls are not Nirsek what ever that is ? The first you can see is a Rubber Jolly doll company doll. The 2nd one is an Ideal Shirley Temple Doll . How tall is she 15 Inches or more ? She is in Original dress .dates from 1950's . The next 2 Look like Miss Revlon dolls by ideal all original . The 4th one seem to be for sure . Please provide what is on back of necks on last 2 dolls under hairline . Your Shirley will be marked ST 15 or ST 17 depending on size . The Revlon dolls will be marked VT 22 or any number depending on size how tall Ideal Doll . Very beautiful and collectible last 3 dolls .All original and near Mint . last 2 could be Miss Revlon look a likes so I need to know the mark on back of neck . The first doll is not real collectible but it is cute :-) They are all made in USA dolls
Thank you for your reply. Niresk is the name that is on the box that the dolls are in. The Shirley Temple is 18 inches and the only markins I found were on the back-AD 195(I think). The red haired(3rd) doll measured 18 inches no markings located. The blond(4th)doll measured approx 19 inches and I found the markings of 14R. Please let me know if this help. I live in Frankfort IL and I am interested in finding out the value of the dolls. Thanks
I will answer about Shirley first and add more tomorrow . if that is her marking then she is a Shirley Temple Look a like a few companies put out and were sued because of it . I would suspect you AD is a AE made by Allied Grand Doll Manufacturing Co., Inc., (as the company name appears in advertising) of Brooklyn, NY a doll manufacturer, also known or called by the names; Allied Imported, Allied Doll Company, Allied Doll & Toy Company,1960s Shirley Temple look a like, 19" tall, soft vinyl head with rooted hair, sleep eyes, open smiling mouth, dimples in cheeks, hard plastic jointed body, marked on neck: AE.
This doll does not appear often . I will have to get my book out in AM to look for her . I would like to see photo of her markings and look good under her hairline on neck also ok. Also check inside dress for on seams for any tag with company name on it . I actually have published articles on Shirley Temple dolls and this is first one I have seen if she is the look a like and not a Ideal doll . She resembles Ideals doll so much no wonder Shirley Temple and Ideal Sued . Look again I would like to see mark if you can photo it ok . As I said I will get to other 2 in am . Very Interesting Shirley !
Your 14R doll is a 1950's early 60's Fashion doll as well as unmarked one . Several companies used that mark , Royal, Deluxe Reading and more . They were sometimes referred to as Grocery store dolls as you get buy them there or get one with so much in purchases . They were competeing against Ideals Miss Revlon . The last one the Blond is much nicer quality so I am thinking she is a Royal 14R . These dolls have their catagory called 14R dolls . Yours are minty are beautiful
here is a site you will see some lines that say 14R click one each one to see photos of some examples
